Today Blighty can update you on one of our dear old friends - the man we call ‘the nuddy arsed rambler’, aka Stephen Gough, ex-marine and ex-clothed eccentric. For those who don’t remember him, or have successfully banished him from your memory, you can read a previous post here. At that time he was planning his second exhibitionist excursion around the UK, frightening the wildlife and disappointing the local women with his over-exposed southerlies. There was talk of him taking a nuddy arsed friend with him for a bit of synchronised flashing. Well, it seems that he actually set off in the company of a female and a male and all three were arrested yesterday.

They were arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. Those suspicions were aroused when they turned up in Shropshire with nothing on and looking anything but decent, as Doug Over from Telford confirms. ‘I was out walking my dog when I was confronted by a eyeful of naked flesh. It engulfed my whole field of vision. I desperately searched for somewhere else to look when I realised that one of the buggers was a female! On further inspection I could ascertain that she wasn’t decent, however. So I rung the police.’ Nora Fludd says that she saw them walk passed her garden just as she was pruning her hydrangea. ‘I chased after them with my shears but they moved too quickly, especially the two men.’

The police were quickly on the scene, after half an hour of covert survellience had confirmed that none of them were decent. Then the three suspects were stripped searched and told their rights. Nuddy Arse was disappointed to find that traipsing around the country with his pants down wasn’t one of them.

The nudists are currently sharing a cell with three suspected Peeping Toms. Their spirits are reported as being good.
